Our annual sexual violence awareness walk/run in Woodland Park, NJ at the Garret Moutain Reservation Boathouse will be on April 20th, 2024, at 10am (9am registration).
Did you know that every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted and every 9 minutes, that victim is a child?One in six women and one in ten men in the United States have been victims of an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime. In a 2019 study, it was reported that more than 1.8 million survivors of sexual violence were living in New Jersey alone. Sexual violence is any type of nonconsensual sexual interaction, ranging from unwanted sexual comments to sexual assault. Sexual violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, ability, or sexual orientation.
